Fashion forecast Men/Youth apparel & accessories - Spring/Summer 26 (Trendzoom)

The Fashion forecast explores each of our three concept themes through a fashion lens: DUPE-AGE, IMMERSE and SINE WAVE.

This dedicated men's report goes deep into the visual impact of apparel and accessories uncovering everything from bold style lines down to the smallest details - and everything in between. The analysis pays particular attention to surface pattern including applied prints and finishes, through to textured crafts and graphic design. Each page explores different areas of apparel and accessories with suggestions aimed to trigger new expressions of design.

DUPE-AGE - MEN
Menswear has an illusionary quality that brings the eye back for another look. At first glance styles are familiar and safe but there are layers of additional or extended detailing, playfully designed patterns or clever construction.
Designs shake up established notions bringing a fresh perspective that combines innovation with familiarity.

DUPE-AGE - youth
Dupe-Age breaks away from the expected, introducing distortions and irregularities that shake up tradition. Communicate these new and innovative ideas through imagery, textures, repeat details and unexpected styling.
Embrace flaws and create deliberate deviations aimed to push designs into new territory.

iMMERSE - MEN
Immerse takes a deep dive into volume, the all-consuming methods involved in craft and the semi-transparent, shimmery or blurry colour effects as though submerged in a body of water.
Amplify and soften the impact of these bold shapes in lightweight materials with smooth or tactile surfaces.

iMMERSE - youth
Exaggerated proportions are key to this look, but instead of enlarging, it’s adding carefully executed volume and balancing it with contrasts. The idea of depth is also explored in deep-pile fabrics, colour and patterns that are concentrated around the hemline, and immersive craft and tech.
Designs get creative with textures and immersive proportions.

SINE WAVE - MEN
Experiment with cross-pollinating ideas from different sources to create unique designs. Take casual elements from loungewear to combine with the structure and technical aspects of workwear and sportswear.
Move forward with designs that offer adaptable details and adjustable fastenings to effectively extend the usefulness of product.

SINE WAVE - youth
The youth sector gravitates towards the familiar lines and patterns found in activewear and retro sportswear. It also appreciates products with a level of environmental awareness and efforts towards recycling and sustainability.
Translated into surface pattern, Sine Wave leans into balanced symmetrical designs, which flow across individual styles and coordinated sets.
